MILES OF MEANING / FIELD NOTES

It started with a 100K question.

A runner overlooks layered mountain paths and flowing blue and orange contours.

How can research become something useful in an actual training week?

Miles of Meaning grew from the 100K Research Notes project: research briefs, a living training protocol, a condensed action plan, a running-form coach and twelve priorities. That work remains part of this publication.

The scope is now wider: ultra endurance, from a first 50K to longer races. The aim is to make the science understandable, the application practical and the uncertainty visible. Broader coverage will grow from verified material, not from relabelling one plan for every distance.

The archive records what was said at the time, including unresolved source checks. A new name does not erase those limits.
